Gaming Projects
From player to creator.
For one of my first modding projects I experimented in Star Wars: Empire at War. That meant modifying countless XML files to create custom cruisers, Star Destroyers, and deployable TIE fighter and X-wing squadrons that would automatically spawn when entering combat with another vessel; to make space battles feel more immersive.
For first real attempt at building a video game, Legends of Aria started as a way to shape my own gaming experience into a desire to build something other people could enjoy, too. That led to HOPE Society, my modded Legends of Aria community server. This project was my first real pratctical coding experience as a programmer and alongside creating custom gameplay, I published monthly patch notes, managed Patreon subscriptions, and built an international Discord community with translation tools to help players connect across languages.
Those experiences taught me how much I enjoy both creating things and improving the way people play. I’ve carried that into World of Warcraft with VaultSCAN, an add-on that makes useful character information easier to track. Each project has given me something new to learn—and another reason to keep building.
